About Us
New Hope is a unique educational model committed to supporting home-based education. We have a number of offerings designed for homeschooling families. Our core offering are twice-weekly small-group tutorials that meet in Boxford, MA. We have a full high school program, a burgeoning middle school program, and a number of workshops and mini-tutorials that run throughout the year.

What makes New Hope a distinctive educational option? New Hope:
- affirms parents as the primary educators of their children. We exist to enable parents to continue home schooling through middle school and high school.
- believes that the primary locus for home schoolers is in the home. We intentionally do not replace the home environment for education by having at most three contact hours per week in each tutorial.
- offers tutorials, mini-tutorials and workshops based on need. We constantly survey the needs and wants of our community and adjust over the long term to meet their needs.
- offers significant autonomy to tutors. Many of our tutors create their own tutorials and use innovative pedagogy particularly well-suited to our small-group environment.
- is rooted in the broadly ecumenical Nicene Christian tradition. Our tutors and staff come from a variety of Christian traditions, uphold the faith once delivered as articulated in the Nicene Creed, and operate within a generous and ecumenical orthodoxy.
Our Mission
New Hope Tutorials, Inc., is a non-profit Christian educational ministry that enables families to maintain a home-based education through the upper grades. By providing academic support through expert tutors in small-group settings, New Hope partners with parents and students in meeting the increasing demands of their curriculum. As an educational model, New Hope affirms that home and family are the ideal agents of socialization and learning and the context within which the healthy spiritual, moral, and intellectual development of young people is best achieved.
Our Statement of Faith
Recognizing the diversity of Christian expression and traditions, New Hope Tutorials, Inc. is intentionally ecumenical and strives to recognize and promote areas of agreement for all Christians. To ensure that the Christ revealed in Scripture is the foundation of our educational philosophy, that His Kingdom remains the ground of our proclamation and our faith, and to affirm the common heritage of all denominations, New Hope has chosen to adopt as its statement of faith the Nicene Creed. Distinctive doctrines beyond the scope of this creed fall within the realm of parental and pastoral guidance and will not be promoted by New Hope or its tutors. New Hope requires that all its tutors, administrators and board members affirm their belief in this statement of biblical faith and see Christ as the foundation for all teaching and the single criterion for Truth. New Hope does not require registering families to adhere to the statements of faith embodied in this Creed; however, such families should be aware that tutors will teach from a decidedly Christian perspective and are encouraged to share their faith with their students.
The Nicene Creed
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the only-begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages. Light of Light; true God of true God; begotten, not made; of one essence with the Father, by whom all things were made; who for us men and our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became man. And He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered, and was buried. And the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead; whose Kingdom shall have no end.
And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets. In one Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
