Anna's love for physics started early as an interest in the science of black holes and other exotic cosmic objects. Her fascination grew as she learned more about the way the laws of physics, through the language of math, govern the visible and invisible interactions of the universe. Not being satiated by the physics she learned at Covenant College, where she earned her bachelor's degree, she pursued further studies at the University of Wisconsin where she completed her PhD in experimental atomic physics in December of 2015.
During graduate school she worked as a teaching assistant for two years and loved figuring out how to explain different topics in new ways. Since she completed her degree, she has been working on her most complex project yet: raising two little boys and supporting her husband as he attends Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She is looking forward to joining the New Hope community and helping to develop a physics curriculum that integrates her love for this subject.
