Discover New Hope 2015

Every year from time immemorial (in New Hope's timeframe, that's about 15 years), we gather together to share what we are planning for the coming academic year. Early on, it was a simple affair, with a few tutors speaking in front of a room of assembled parents about their vision for tutorials. That has grown through the years, to the point where we now have 15-18 instructors each year, and so we tried something new this year: an open house format, with a 30-minute presentation for new parents at the beginning.

This year, new families met from 6:30 to 7:00 at the front of the Main Hall for some time with Chris Westrate (accompanied by science teacher Dawn Corbin and Spanish teacher Laura Range) to learn about New Hope. Then everyone was free from 7:00-9:00 to visit instructors' tables around the Main Hall. It was a wonderful time -- many thanks to our tutors, staff, and parents.
