Student Orientation 2015

Student Orientation 2015

This past Monday and Tuesday, New Hope Tutorials hosted Student Orientation for Middle and High Schoolers. The purpose of this orientation was two-fold: to give students the information they need to start the year with confidence, and to provide opportunities for them to build relationships with each other and with their instructors.

Mr. Westrate and Mr. Drummond communicated our core values and discussed their implications on what students do inside and outside the classroom. Students participated in large and small group ice breakers (reverse charades! two truths and a lie!) and got to know each other while roasting marshmallows and making s’mores around a fire pit. There was free time for ice cream and playing games and continuing conversations. They were great nights!

Many thanks to our parent volunteers and instructors who helped make Student Orientation 2015 such a success. If it’s any indication of things to come, it will be a great year!
